Kilngreen – Townhead, Langholm

Riverside stop

Kilngreen is a useful riverside pause at the northern edge of Langholm, where Ewes Water meets the River Esk. It works equally well as a picnic stop, a quiet look across the water or a practical starting point for exploring the town and the wider Tarras Valley landscape.

Visit notes

This is more than a functional car park: benches, river views and quick access to Langholm make it a pleasant place to reset during a journey. The visitor information point is useful before heading towards the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve.

Toilet opening hours change with the season. Food and coffee are available a few minutes away in the town rather than directly beside every parking space.
