🚨 **Search & Recovery Update | Broad Peak (8,047m)**

The **Alpine Club of Pakistan** continues to monitor the ongoing search and recovery operation on **Broad Peak (8,047m)**.

We regret to confirm that **Mr. Killi Pemba Sherpa of Nepal** has been found and his body has been successfully recovered.

The **bodies of the other five expedition members have also been spotted**. However, they remain in an **extremely difficult and hazardous location**, where carrying out a recovery operation poses significant risks due to the challenging terrain and prevailing mountain conditions.

Rescue teams, in coordination with the relevant authorities, continue to carefully assess the situation and determine the safest possible course of action.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan extends its heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased. We also pay tribute to the rescue personnel who continue to carry out their mission with exceptional courage under extremely demanding high-altitude conditions.

We have also received confirmation that other members of the expedition sadlv did not survive. Today, we mourn not only Nims, but every life lost in this tragedy including his trusted climbing partners and guides, Pur Bahadur Gurung (Yukta) and Nima Sherpa. Broad Peak Rescue Operation UpdateAccording to the latest developments, two bodies, including one Nepali mountaineer and the other Omani mountaineer, are being transported to Skardu via a Pakistan Army helicopter. The rescue operation for the recovery of the remaining bodies and their transportation to the base camp has been suspended today and will resume tomorrow morning. -Spokesperson, Gilgit-Baltistan Police

Unverified Reports from the Broad Peak search indicate that the chances of finding anyone alive after the avalanche are now extremely low.

Climbers involved in the rescue effort say a drone operating from Base Camp has reportedly located what appear to be the bodies of four climbers below Camp I on the Concordia side of the mountain: Nirmal Purja (Nimsdai), Kili Pemba Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, and Wang Zhong.

Search teams now fear that all 10 climbers caught in the avalanche may have died. There has been no official confirmation from the authorities yet, and the process of identifying all victims is still underway.
